What do we do with your data?
This website makes use of the services of the Ministry of General Affairs (AZ). As agreed, AZ uses your email address to send you email messages and notifications to which you have signed up. The data you submitted are shared with our email service provider so that these emails can be sent. For the purpose of optimizing our services, we compile statistics about the emails we send.
Each one contains a pixel that enables us to see whether or not the email has been opened. Every hyperlink in an email also has a unique ID, which allows us to see how many times a link has been used. For optimization purposes, AZ only makes use of anonymized data. We will retain your email address until you unsubscribe from all the subscriptions you have made through our service.
Submitted data
Why do we ask for your email address?
We process your email address so that we can deliver your subscription(s). The information you have subscribed to will never reach you unless we have an address to send it to. In compliance with the General Data Protection Regulation, we do this on the basis of a legal agreement.
How is your data processed?
We only use your data to send you the email messages and notifications you have signed up for and to improve our services based on anonymized statistics. Because AZ employs the services of a data processor, we have entered into an agreement with this party. However, the ultimate responsibility for the careful handling of your personal data lies with AZ.
How long do we retain your data?
We will retain your email address until you unsubscribe from all subscriptions made through our service. If you no longer wish to receive our emails, you can unsubscribe by clicking the link that appears at the bottom of every email we send you. AZ will then ensure that you are no longer sent this information.
What are your rights?
To read more about your rights as regards the processing of your data, please go to AZ’s privacy (in Dutch; link opens in new tab) page.
