Starting in 2022, every research institution, institution of higher education or government body will be required to have a gender equality plan in order to be eligible for funding from Horizon Europe, the framework programme for research and innovation. One requirement set by the European Commission is that the gender equality plan is a public document, available on the institution’s website.
